Our Story

Our story began in 1979 when Harry and Lori Muilenburg started selling Bobcat equipment in Sheldon, Iowa. From the very beginning, their son, Doug, worked alongside them, learning the business and developing a passion for helping customers find the right equipment and support for their needs.

In March 1986, an opportunity arose to expand the business into Sioux City, Iowa. Since then, we have proudly served customers throughout the region from our Sioux City location. Then, in 1993, Doug and his wife, Deb, purchased the business from Harry and Lori, continuing the family tradition and carrying forward the values on which it was founded. Today, that tradition lives on through a third generation of the Muilenburg family.

While equipment and technology have evolved over the years, one thing has remained constant: our commitment to providing the best possible customer service. We understand that our customers rely on their equipment to keep projects moving, businesses running, and livelihoods growing. That's a responsibility we don't take lightly.

As we look ahead to the next 40 years and beyond, we remain dedicated to the values that have guided us since 1979—earning trust, building lasting relationships, and treating our customers like neighbors. Some 1,000 independent Bobcat dealers back each and every piece of Bobcat equipment, serving customers thousands of local sales, service, parts and rental specialists.
